I found this DVD at the library and it had 18 tales from this 1950/60s series. I enjoyed it so much – partly the simplicity of the stories, each with a twist in the tail, but also because it showed how we used to live in the pre-plastics era. Although mostly in America it was still very relevant to our own past.

Our daughter has become very keen on the old movies 60’s/70’s although she can see the dated aspects of the movie making, she enjoys the stories and the acting. On weekend she watched a Lana Turner movie’ Madame X’ thoroughly enjoyed it but found it a bit sad. I don’t remember ever seeing that movie , but on thinking about it I was never a big movie fan when young but I did enjoy musicals now and then, I   loved ” Shirley Temple”  and  still enjoy watching her dancing,  even now at my old age
