Good morning and what a beautiful morning it is.
I am lucky enough to have a small unit on my daughters
property. Semi rural but not too far away from a few shops.
I have just opened my door, the sun is about to come
over the hill. Our rooster is having a crowing competition
with next doors bird or are they having a conversation about this wonderful morning. There’s an earthy smell in the air from
the overnight dew.I can hear the birds waking up.
It’s so good to be alive.

How lovely for you Rachael, we used to live in the country and I  miss it alot, its now city for us.. But one plus we do have alot of trees around so the many birds calling and singing is a delight and we feed alot of them, the magpies jump onto our back step and look through the glass door saying where are you come and feed us.

Yes Rachael – the country is so beautiful and I enjoy it every day. Would dearly love some rain but this summer has been so mild down here that I should not lose too many native plants. A few gaps to replant in the autumn.

Although I live in a very suburban area,  a few birds visit .  There are a few trees around, but sadly the developers are not leaving much for the birds.
