How terrific that four boys have been rescued, although still a worry that rescue attempts for the rest of boys and coach have now been delayed, Just hope the expected  rain does not arrive  and delay the rescue for  months as stated early in this saga.

Yep, great news BettyH. Such a complex procedure. Perhaps the some of the divers are taking a break before doing a second attempt. Read somewhere it’s a 9 hours round trip all up. Very taxing for all teams involved.

    Hope the rain holds off.

While happy for the rescued boys, it is very sobering to read how slow and difficult the exercise is, and that the others are still in grave danger.

Bless them and all those working so hard to get them out.

Hurray all out safe and sound. But the boys and coach to stay in hospital till all pass the strict medical checks. The whole world will be cheering . It has been an enormous effort for all involved.

Wonderful effort. Such an enervating outcome.

So sad about Dr Richard Harris, the Australian doctor who checked each boy before they left the cave and was last out of the cave himself. His father died while he was with the last rescue was underway and he got the news when he emerged.

My thoughts are with this amazing self-sacrificing, dedicated and talented man.

And RIP, volunteer ex Thai Navy Seal, Petty Officer First Class Saman Gunan, who died on Friday in the cold waters deep inside the cave complex in north-western Thailand after running out of oxygen when placing oxygen cylinders there for others.

Man U have offered the boys,  coach and families an all expenses paid trip to England the monetary cost to Man U is peanuts to a football team whose income runs into millions every year but magnificent publicity
