News and documentaries would be high on the list of ‘watchables’.
Then the occasional good movie. I often watch old movies for the scenery rather than the story. I see old buildings, streets, people, cars. It is almost like time travelling. Some modern programmes are full of good scenery too. I recall that ‘Father Brown’ has a lot of scenes that make for pleasant viewing.
I rather like ‘Extreme Railway Journeys’ currently showing here. Chris Tarrant is very different to Michael Portillo and definitely calls a spade a B shovel. Quite refreshing and I learned a lot from this week’s episode in Argentina. I had no idea that the British had been so involved down there and actually created their (now crumbling) railway system. So much that we did not learn at school including the Welsh immigration to there.
It inspired me to check out that area of Paraguay to which Queenslanders emigrated in 1893 but thats another story.
