50 years since the Moon landing!  I was home sick, from work, and remember sitting in the lounge, watching every second. It was a breathtaking moment in time.

Do others remember where they were?

I called at a house to do some work there.
    The moon landing was imminent.
So the householder and I sat down with a cup of tea and watched it.
The atmosphere of the landing was ‘electric’.
I am glad I was there to witness that historic event.
I managed to get all the work done later.

Yes I also remember, we were living in Qld at the time I was involved with our first little boy I remember seeing the moon landing on our little black and white TV and little Peter playing on the floor whilst his mother(me) watched . Gosh so long ago

I should emphasise that it was Neil Armstrong stepping down on to the lunar surface that I saw on Tv long ago.
I thought the picture was far from clear, but it was recognisable for what it was.
(the actual landing of the spacecraft had happened quite a few hours earlier)
I think most people think of the ‘moon landing’ in terms of Neil Armstrong stepping on to the moon?
Neil Armstrong’s ‘one small step for man …’ speech is missing a word too. (a glich deleted it?)
He is reputed to have said, ‘one small step for a man, …’
The missing ‘a’ alters the meaning somewhat.
