    I’m not sure if only landlines have been used for political polling in Australia but whatever method was used this year has been proved virtually useless. Could also have resulted in the demise of political leaders in the past. I think the pollsters have retired to their corners licking their wounds and trying now to come up with some more reliable method of testing public opinion.

    we got no phone call or any leaflet in the letterbox apart from one telling us where the various polling station were,  perhaps the place was forgotten or all parties decided that it was a forgone conclusion how we would vote,  this place is a well known “safe seat”

    Yes it seems very likely that polls will take a back seat in the future, as we know them now.

    Being in a safe Labor seat, I never receive any enquiry or literature from the other Parties.
