    It’s really important to get the shingles vaccine. Our health plan doesn’t cover it yet and the vaccine is expensive but it’s well worth it. I’m told that those over 50 are most susceptible and I’m told the disease can be very painful and can last a very long time. Don’t want that in my old age!

    While on the subject of vaccines, my health care people recommend a pneumonia vaccine too so we were both inoculated. Part of the enjoyment of retirement is being healthy!
